Lovemaking During Pregnancy: 10 Things Your Baby Is Thinking

2 min

Lovemaking during pregnancy is not only safe but quite natural. You might have a decreased libido in your first trimester, but once the morning sickness goes away and you enter your second trimester, your make-out drive will make a comeback. Intimacy right until labour is fine if you’re feeling fine about it. If your partner is worried about hurting the baby, reassure him by taking him along on your next prenatal visit. Your body offers enough protection to the baby and your partner won’t get past the cervix of the uterus, hence, the little one is in no real danger. However, what is your baby really thinking in the womb when you are getting intimate?

Science hasn’t really figured it out but we thought we’d take a shot at guessing just what the baby might be thinking. This is pure guesswork and for all we know, it might be completely wrong. However, we had some fun compiling the list and you might get a few giggles out of this.

1. I’m On A Boat

The baby is surrounded by amniotic fluid. So, when you’re busy with the business, the baby surely feels a rocking motion, right? It must think it’s in a boat. Most definitely.

2. Wait… What’s A Boat?

The baby still probably doesn’t know left from right, so how can it possibly know what a boat is? Maybe your child is one of those prodigies… who knows?

3. Hurry Up – I’m Hungry

When you’re pregnant, you can be hungry all the time – even when you’re getting it on, pregnancy style. But if mamma is going to get hers, the baby is just going to have to wait. You can get to the food after you’re finished getting your rocks off.

4. I Want Some Candy

Who doesn’t want candy all the time anyway? Even during those intimate moments with your partner? It’s a fair assumption to make that the kid is craving candy too.

5. I Think I Just Peed A Little

When you’re pregnant, you always feel like you’ve just peed a little. And it’s no surprise either, once you factor in the fact you have a human being sitting on your bladder. So, don’t worry, kiddo, mamma feels like she just peed too.

6. And Yes, I Drank It

Where else is the pee going to go? It stays in the amniotic fluid and babies drink amniotic fluid too! This leads to the stunning realisation that, yes, you once drank your own pee too. Very stimulating, huh?

7. We’re Definitely On A Boat

There is no way of sitting down in between a lovemaking session and explaining to the human inside you what exactly is going on. When mamma wants to get hers, she’s getting it. Let the baby just assume that s/he’s a rich millionaire on a yachting expedition. They will find out eventually that they are not a millionaire, but that’s a worry for another day, right? On with the bump and grind, come on!

8. Can I Make A Ship-To-Shore Call?

No. Just plain, no. But the baby can definitely give you a few kicks in the ribs for the nth time when you’re lying in the missionary. He or she has definitely gotten good at that.

9. Although, This Is Some Impressive Entertainment…

What are you supposed to say to that? I mean… de rien?

10. I Mean, The Sound Effects Are Amazing

Yes, your little one can hear in the womb. The sound might be muffled, but sounds come in nonetheless. So, the baby is listening in on all the sizzling talk… But don’t worry; they don’t really know what’s going on! After all, they’re a millionaire on a yacht, right?
